Auntie Mom,
This morning my mom told me we were going to be saying "see you in a few weeks" to Auntie Mom. I did understand but it doesn't make complete sense yet because as long as I can remember, I have always lived near you, T, Raw, Michdol, Maffew & Uncdole.
From today forward, life will always be different.
A treasured chapter of my life has closed ... another is opening but my heart is always connected to you because of what you have been to me since I arrived at LAX on 10/1/2008.
Later this afternoon, feeling very sleep deprived, I stood on my front lawn & waved goodbye to you. You & my mom were crying a lot. After you left I sat on my mom's lap & wiped the tears from her eyes. Hannah patted my mom's hand & got her a drink of water.
My mom tells me all the time how much you love me. And I love you, too!!! I pray for you every time I pray outloud.
Thank you for telling me all those months how much mommy loves me & for keeping me connected to her despite the difficult circumstances of Hannah's illness & continual hospital stays.
I will "ForeBer" feel a special connection to you. I know I won't see you as often but my mom promises to keep us connected.
You waited for me from China with the same anticipation of my mother.
You love me with the same love as my mother.
You rocked me & selflessly prayed that I would see my mom's face when I looked into your eyes while my mom was caring for Hannah at the hospital.
Your mother's love for me will never be forgotten.
I will always be your China treasure & you will always be my "Auntie Mom". No matter how many years pass or how many miles are between us.
